About the Author

Vi is a senior citizen and a veteran of the Air Force, the Air National Guard, and the Federal Civil Service. She also belongs to the American Legion and the American Legion Riders. She now lives in Rincon, Georgia, in the Low Country, with her husband.
Vi has lived her entire life with the memory of her father's incestuous molestation behavior towards her; it has affected her personally in every aspect of her life, not only her own but also that of her siblings. It robbed her of her natural love and a secure childhood. She struggled with friendships, schoolmates, and even boyfriends. It took courage for her to turn her father away at the age of fourteen.
Vi hopes that by writing this book, she will be able to give others the courage to leave the abuse and do something about it. Vi has struggled with this for many years, wanting to write this book to help others and to let them know it happens, but everyone is afraid to speak up. Vi hopes to inspire people to find a way to report abuse and get past it.
