ABRAHAM "BRAM" STOKER (1847–1912) was an Irish novelist, best known for his pioneering Gothic novels, Dracula, The Lair of the White Worm, The Snake's Pass, and The Lady of The Shroud. Although a highly regarded author and his work for The London Daily Telegraph, Stoker made his living as the personal assistant of actor Henry Irving and the manager of the Lyceum Theatre in London. Stoker died in 1912, leaving behind one of the most timeless horror characters ever created. Widely considered to be one of the top 100 books of all time, Dracula has spawned a host of film, television, and stage adaptations, and it continues to hold readers spellbound.
