About the Author

Karin Christa Uphoff holds a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in zoology from Arizona State University. Having worked as a wildlife ecologist, animal behavioral researcher, and environmental consultant, she undertook advanced training in massage therapy, vibrational medicine, and yoga, before earning a diploma in herbal medicine and natural healing in the U.K. Her professional affiliations include the American Herbalist Guild, American Herbalist Association and United Plant Savers. Ms. Uphoff is a practicing herbalist, teacher, radio co-host and nutritional consultant in Northern California.
