About the Author

Prior to this inspirational journey, Sandra Ann Chambers had never considered her method of writing a style for a children's book. "BORN ON FLAG DAY" has been conceptualized as a "read aloud" for adolescent audiences (13 years+), to inspire and encourage learning in "Civics" and "U. S. History." The storyline is also featured as an "illustrated adult book."

Chambers has a Bachelor of Arts (music major) and Master of Education degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She grew-up in a Chicago low-income public housing complex (built in 1970) formerly known as Madden Park Homes (near the Ida B. Wells Housing Projects and the Clarence Darrow Homes). It was the final public housing high-rises built and/or managed by the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA)).

Chambers' writing style, research abilities, and interests are within the principles of natural, biblical, and common laws. An example of the latter is in the "legal basis" for the start of an adversary complaint (on her own behalf), In Re Chambers, 283 B.R. 913 (Bankr. N.D. Ill. 2002) on several issues (including dischargeability of tuition and student expenses in bankruptcy court (filed and concluded as "pro se”)). Despite not having initial legal representation, Chambers believed (based on her legal research), said college expenses did not "qualify" as a "loan" under 11 U. S. Code § 523(a)(8). She won the case(s). (See Manning v. Chambers, 290 B.R. 328 (N.D. Ill. 2003) and In Re Chambers, 348 F. 3d 650 (7th Cir. 2003) having "precedential status" (a legal theory researched and initially presented by a "non-attorney, unlicensed, and originally a pro se litigant."))

Chambers is the composer of an instrumental piece of music entitled, "Citizens of the U. S. Republic" (inspired by Article IV, Section 4 of the U. S.
