About the Author

Well, want to know a bit about me before reading my book, do you? First off, thanks for purchasing Bodybuilding on Budget, buying into the idea of physique competition, and learning about healthy lifestyles surrounding it! I got interested in bodybuilding while I was just in Elementary school and continued through prep school. Competing in football and track and field, excelling in the jumps and sprints, I made my way to State tournaments. Waking up on my 25th birthday, I needed a mission, and that is when my amateur physique competition career started.
Earning ten national qualifications, four trips to nationals, and more than 13 years competing in 27 shows through three classes has taught me the rules of the sport and allowed me to coach hundreds of clients for the stage or just personal wellness in-person and online.
My venture into the Master's class has also proved to me that age might not be a hindrance. It’s funny, rereading this book upon republishing recently; I feel I have written to myself now in 2022 with all of the words of care and thought. In May 2021, I sustained significant injuries during a routine hernia mesh surgery, consequently resulting in a month in the hospital, 40 lbs. of weight loss, a foot of my intestines and appendix removed, and several major infections.
Subsequently, I had to undergo two-plus months with a wound vac and three months of home health nursing (thanks, Charlene!), causing a 13" x 2" scar on my lower abdomen.
So, is it all over for me and the stage personally? I guess you look me up online when you read this book to see!
