About the Author

Author, Linda Jane Niedfeldt, (right) and photographer, Carla Jane Jahnke, have been a team for decades, first and foremost as a mother-daughter duo and now in bringing to life another delightful Lisenka book. Sometimes they switch roles: Niedfeldt will assist with photos and Jahnke will critique manuscripts, but each has her own forte. It’s a love-love relationship.

Niedfeldt is married to Tom. They have been blessed with four children and six grandchildren. She has written five historical fiction books, dozens of newspaper stories, a few national magazine articles, and one memoir, Psalms in My Backpack.
