Overview

After the harrowing events at Mill House, Zoey, Len, and Poulton are irrevocably changed. Poulton is haunted by his demonic possession and Zoey is paralysed with no hope of recovery. That is, unless Len can find the mother whom she brutally banished more than a hundred years ago.

Finding Roan will be no small feat. First Len will need to face a past locked out of her memory and travel the darkest paths of the Conjure.

To keep her away from danger, Len must leave Zoey in the last place she wants to: the convent where Len spent her childhood, a century and a half earlier. But the Sisterhood of the Sparrows may not be the haven Len assumed, and when the Beast comes whispering, the embittered Zoey may be too susceptible to temptation.

Bleak and gruesome, gloomy and Gothic, tortuous and savage, in this follow up to Teeth in the Mist Dawn Kurtagich continues to redefine the horror and fantasy space.

About the Author

Dawn Kurtagich is the award-winning author of The Dead House, The Creeperman / And the Trees Crept In, and Teeth in the Mist. The daughter of a British globe-trotter single mother, her formative years were spent in Africa-on a mission, in the bush, in the city, and in the desert. By the time she was eighteen, she had been to fifteen schools across two continents. While still in her teens, she did an internship at Cambridge's prestigious Cavendish Laboratories. At the age of 25, she received a life-saving liver transplant. Her debut novel, The Dead House, was a YALSA Top 10 Pick, An Audie and Earphone Award Nominee, and an Earie Award Winner. It was optioned for TV by Lime Productions. She leaves her North Wales crypt after midnight during blood moons. The rest of the time she exists somewhere between mushrooms, maggots, and mould.
