Overview

Blanton is the third novel in the Scalpel series. Things are not going well for Dr. Blanton in the Oceana Nation of Vanuatu where he has settled with his new wife. He misses his dead wife and continues conversing with her. He cannot escape his murderous appetite, even in paradise. He even persuades his new bride to participate in a vicious and disastrous crime on the island.

Blanton branches out, slaughtering drug dealers and manufacturers along with his usual malpractice attorneys, in the most unusual and skillful ways.

Detective McClymonds is determined to find a way to stop the murder spree. Strangely, he begins to feel a kinship with Blanton, often thinking the two might be close friends in a parallel world.

Can McClymonds make a deal with Blanton to stop him? Is this a deal with the Devil? After much consideration, McClumonds comes to a momentous decision.

The action is quick and exciting as we follow these two professionals from country to country, and corpse to corpse...
