About the Author

Ms. Davis (Jeanette Davis-Adeshote')received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Morgan State University where she worked as Music Director and on-air announcer for radio station WEAA for shows: "Daybreak Delights" and "Vibrations". She was a freelance writer for Baltimore Collegian Magazine, What It's All About mini-magazine, and various organizational newletters.
She is an honorably discharged veteran (six years) of the U.S. Army where she worked as a Finance Specialist and an Equal Opportunity Sargeant.
Her play; "Grandma Loved Roses" won Baltimore's WMAR-TV's Drama Competition for Black Writers and was televised in 1985.
Ms. Davis appeared on "Geraldo", "Rolonda" and various other television and radio talk shows for pomotion of her earlier book; "Black Survival in White America: From Past History to the Next Century". Her latest book: "The Great Divide Between Blacks & Whites" was published in January 2009. She has lectured in many venues (bookstores, churches, private organizations, universities, benefits, etc.)
Ms. Davis is presently retired from the State of New Jersey and devotes her time to her writing, family, and providing assistance to people in need. Her future goal is to start a foundation devoted to eradicating hunger.
