BITTERMAN'S OIL WELL
Devon Collins, (16) has a heart of gold for injured, orphaned and unfortunate animals and takes as many of them in as he can and cares for them in a large, penned in area, that he built behind his parents General Store/Diner.

When he discovers that many of the animals and pets are disappearing from the town they live in, he has to take action and discover the reason why.

His passion for adventure is as much a part of him as his passion for these animals which leads him to the most likely suspect; The Bitterman Property. There's been some very strange happenings there. Animals are being butchered and their life blood used for a devious scheme.

B.J. Bitterman, early nineties, owns hundreds of oil wells on a Texas spread and used to be a Billionaire. But the well pumps have long since gone dry and he's been in recluse since he was thirty and his massive, mansion is in shambles.

His young bride, Rose, died shortly after they were married and Bitterman was believed to have gone insane and legend now says that he's working on a way to raise Rose from the dead whom he has been keeping in a glass coffin in the mansion that he built for especially her.

Enter Katie Sullivan, (16) Devon's other passion whom he just hasn't connected with yet. The opportunity couldn't be better. She has a morbid curiosity for all things dead, unlike Devon who prefers to stay focused on the living.

The two of them, along with three of their friends, unite and venture into a labyrinth of tunnels, which run below the oil wells. They run into various perils and make it into the mansion and discover there's more than just one mystery waiting to be solved.
