About the Author

Quentin Meunier is engaged in forest conservation and sustainable development in Africa. He became fascinated by the birds surrounding him while researching for his books on trees, in the forests of Uganda. Bird photography became a passion, culminating in this visually stunning book, lovingly created since 2008 and over the past 4 years with co-author Sherry McKelvie. Sherry McKelvie has lived in Uganda for 25 years and became captivated by the beauty of the birds that graced her garden, which led to a desire to photograph them and share their beauty with others, going further afield to the game parks and wetlands throughout Uganda. She eagerly embraced the opportunity when invited to be a co-author with Quentin Meunier.
