About the Author

Bikram Grewal is an eminent ornithologist and conservationist and he is the author of several best-selling bird books on the birds of the Indian Subcontinent. He lives in Delhi.

Otto Pfister is a Swiss-born nature photographer with a special interest in birds. He has lived in the Indian Subcontinent for many years and is an expert on the wildlife of Ladakh.

Otto Pfister is a birder and photographer with extensive experience of the Colombian avifauna. Otto has published his writing and photography in international magazines, calendars, publications and reference books, including the Handbook of the Birds of the World (Lynx Edicions). He is the author of Birds and Mammals of Ladakh (Oxford University Press India) and co-author of Birds of the Himalayas (Bloomsbury Natural History) and A Photographic Guide to the Birds of India (Helm).
