Bird Water: Appalachian Foothills by award-winning photographer Matt Zeigler captures the aquatic behavior of ducks and land birds at eastern Alabama’s Lake Mitchell. The author presents images of the Drake Mallard, Wild Peking and Black Muscovy ducks as they interact at Lake Mitchell; nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. In addition to waterfowl the author features land birds, the American Robin and Cedar Waxwing, as they fly, bathe, drink and watch for predators in aquatic environments.

About the Author

Marine Corps veteran Matt Zeigler worked eight years as a writer and photojournalist in the newspaper industry before embarking on an author's path. During the 1990s he traveled extensively throughout the Southeast covering the greatest athletes of American sports.
