Overview

On her thirteenth birthday, Summer Haas scratches the lottery ticket her mom tucked into her birthday card and the down-on-their-luck family become instant millionaires. Then the attention gets crazy in their small Illinois town, and the family moves north to 'disappear' in the Chicago suburbs. About the Author

A former newspaper reporter, Dawn Malone now writes exclusively for children. She also substitute teaches, conducts writing workshops for youth through a community education program, and is an expert dog walker at the local animal shelter. Dawn lives in central Illinois with her husband, three children, and the pets they've brought home which she now takes care of.
