About the Author

Camilla de la Bedoyere has an academic background in the biological sciences and is a Fellow of the Zoological Society of London. She is an experienced writer of books for children and adults, most of which focus on the natural world; it’s a career that has occupied much of the last 20 years. She has also worked in journalism, and was the editor of a children’s page in a British newspaper for five years. When she is not writing, Camilla teaches literacy at a London high school, and she enjoys traveling to watch wildlife in action.
