Beyond the Statue
Wally grew up on the Caribbean island of St Vincent and the Grenadines. Early in his life he developed an appetite for success. A desire encouraged by his mother’s wish for one of her children to go abroad to earn enough to lift the family from the doldrums of poverty. His first attempt brought him to work on an island in the Grenadines, but on his way home to celebrate the Christmas holiday disaster struck.
However, with some luck, he eventually reached the United States of America where another struggle began. He was finally on his way to realizing the dream he jealously craved when tragedy struck again. He had overcome the first, but this one forced him to deal with a reality he did not know existed.
