About the Author

R.A. Baker is a science fiction/fantasy author who was born in High Point, North Carolina and later moved to Virginia. The author grew up watching TV shows like Star Trek and The Twilight Zone, which sparked an interest in sci-fi and fantasy at an early age.

R.A Baker is the author of The Beast at the Gate and Beyond the Band of Death in the "Rayna of Nightwind" epic sci-fi/fantasy series. He is also the author of Two Merchants and a Thief in his new "Branded Souls" YA series. Much of his spare time is spent crafting fantastic worlds, deciding the fates of mad kings, lizard men, and the occasional fire golem. Outside of writing, the author enjoys listening to jazz, gardening and gaming. He dwells among ordinary men disguised as a computer mage somewhere in the land of Virginia.
