About the Author

Debbie Haynes delights herself in being spirit-led. She has a servant’s heart and has been engaged in ministry long before she even knew it. Debbie enjoys working with children and young people; and has a keen ability to blend with the aged.

Her future aspiration is that God will use her to assist families in understanding their roles and the importance of keeping a healthy foundation and aligned with divine imperative. Debbie sees the institution of marriage and the privilege of parenting as tantamount to sustaining healthy communities. She believes in reaching premarital couples by laying the foundation with them for what constitutes a sustainable union.

She wants to see men understanding their purpose in God and their duties to family; help young women to know that they are poised as ‘pillars of a palace wall’ to provide support, glorify God and portray an attitude of pride and dignity as virtuous women with a purpose; and remind older women that they are to instruct the young women. Debbie hopes to widen her circles of influence and re-stitch the fabric of our society with morality, integrity, wisdom and a desire to build lasting relationships.

Debbie’s goal is to maximize her God-given potential and become all that He has purposed her to be. She has pledged to live out her call by passionately teaching all who will listen.

Debbie graduated from the Jamaica Theological Seminary with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology with double minors in Guidance and Counselling and Leadership and Ministry. She completed a teaching degree in Religious Education and Guidance and Counselling at the Shortwood Teachers’ College and earned an Executive Master’s degree in Educational Management.

Debbie is the mother of two beautiful girls, Amanda and Alana – her pride and joy.
