Better Man
Whoever said change is good should have their head examined.

As far as Billy McDonald is concerned, he's changed enough for one lifetime. He's been clean and sober for two years, he's learned to manage his anger, and he's uprooted his life and relocated to Maine to reunite with his wife, Katie. He's even helped Katie create a resource center for at-risk youth, where he teaches guitar to any kid who's interested.

He's paid his dues. He's evolved. He's a better man. It was hard work, but his personal life is the best it's ever been, and his music career is finally on track. Life should be easier now. Smooth sailing. No surprises, right?

Yeah, well. Not so fast. Katie wants him to become a father—again. As the saying goes, been there, done that. He sucked as a parent the first time around, and as far as he's concerned, you don't get a do-over.

Too bad she doesn't see it that way.

After everything they've been through and all they've fought to overcome, could this be the one thing they can't get past?

About the Author

Karen Cimms is an international bestselling author of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. Her stories can be dark and gritty or laugh-out-loud funny; and sometimes, a little of both.

Karen's writing history began as a child when she'd rewrite the endings of her favorite books. When that didn't pan out financially, she eventually stumbled her way into what became a long and rewarding career as a journalist and editor. In 2019, having experienced enough of the "real world," Karen left the newsroom to focus on her first love, fiction.

These days, she finds telling stories and creating characters and the worlds they live in far more satisfying. After all, who doesn't need an escape?

Born and raised in New Jersey, Karen currently lives in rural Pennsylvania but still thinks of the Garden State as home. When she's not writing, she's usually reading, but you can also find her decorating, gardening, or trying out a new recipe.

Verla Bond is a professional improv actor, classically trained singer, and amateur puppeteer. She brings a variety of performance skills to her storytelling. Predominantly a romance and erotica narrator, she is passionate about increasing sex-positivity through literature. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and yoga.
