Betrayal of virtue
In the novel "Betrayal of Virtue" by Yukio Mishima, the story deals with the life of Setsuke, an aristocratic woman who is married and has a child, but suffers from an emotional void. The novel reflects the psychological conflict that Setsko faces when she recalls her memories of lost love, especially with Tsuchiya, the young man she was involved with before her marriage. Although their encounters were superficial and fleeting, her current psychological state pushes her to return to those memories, leading to a special meeting between them. Stesco finds herself engaging in an internal dialogue about her feelings of guilt and thoughts about love, ultimately discovering a new side of herself and a different life she hopes to live.

About the Author
