About the Author

LT Jack Benson is a native of the Birmingham, Alabama area who loves the sea, sailing, and dreaming up fun adventures for children. Growing up, Jack was blessed with parents who loved to create a sense of fun and adventure for their children. It gave him a lifelong love to do the same, not only for his own two children, but for all children everywhere. His greatest desire is that young readers everywhere will enjoy the pirate adventure in this book.

Jack served on the U.S.S. Midway decades ago as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. This experience provided much knowledge about seafaring, sailing, oceans, and marine life. In addition, he has spent a lifetime studying nature and the sea and wishes to share his joy for these pastimes with others.

At age 87, Jack hopes to share his knowledge with young people as well as encouraging others who are not-so-young to pursue their writing dreams. Benj and the Pirate is available on Amazon.
