About the Author

Shawn R. Fields is a renowned expert on research and books. He is a public library director who has also worked and taught information literacy at academic libraries. He is the owner of ‘A Better Way Consulting,’ a company focused on assisting organizations, especially non-profits, with research, strategic planning, management coaching, and employee training (abetterwayconsultingct.com). Prior to becoming a librarian, he worked in business in the areas of sales, training and development, recruiting, and project management. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Connecticut, a Master’s degree in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master’s degree in Religious Studies from Sacred Heart University. He currently resides in Connecticut.
