Baby-Toddler—It's Christmas Eve and, as per holiday tradition, a group of elves have gathered to see who will pull Santa's sleigh. Will it be a dinosaur? Some kittens? Maybe a few robots? No, it's the prancing reindeer returning to do the job. This board book features reindeer antlers atop to make for a tangible experience for tiny readers. The illustrations are adorable, with a vintage flair. Santa and his elves have a variety of skin tones, illustrating some much-needed holiday diversity. The questions on each page will delight toddlers who will know that robots and unicorns shouldn't be pulling the sleigh, so overall, there's not much story or guessing game. The title, cover, and antlers signify who the true sleigh pullers will be. Nevertheless, this will be a fun interactive story for infants and toddlers. VERDICT Due to the soft antlers, this will be better with limited circulation or sharing at story hours.—Shana Shea
