About the Author

Ken Gullette has internal arts students worldwide who have learned from his DVDs, ebooks, and through 700 video lessons on his online internal arts membership website. Ken has studied martial arts for over 40 years and has focused on the internal arts -- Taiji, Xingyi and Bagua -- since 1987. He has learned from Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang, Grandmaster Chen Xiaoxing, and their students and disciples. Ken is a tournament champion, winning dozens of forms, weapons, and sparring competitions, and he has trained tournament champions. Ken strips the mystical nonsense from the internal arts and focuses on the body mechanics that give Taiji, Xingyi and Bagua the relaxed power that makes them true "internal" arts. See Ken's DVDs and videos on his websites, www.kungfu4u.com and www.internalfightingarts.com. His blog delves into issues, techniques, and the controversies of the internal arts -- his blog is www.internalarts.typepad.com. Ken and his wife, Nancy (who is his videographer and photographer) live in Moline, Illinois, where he teaches, writes, and produces instructional videos.
