The best way to learn about and understand baseball is to go to a game with someone who knows what's going on and who explains it to you play by play.
The next-best way is to read this book. In my book, I take you to a ballgame, and it's as if I�m sitting next to you. I explain everything, including such things as a double play, the infield fly rule, a ground-rule double, a rundown, a full count, and a sacrifice bunt. By the time you finish my book, you'll know as much about baseball as anyone, except the truly dedicated fan.
My family has been playing baseball for over a century; one could say that the game is part of my DNA. In June 2013, my book was accepted into the Research Library of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
