Is the time and distance of the size of the universe necessarily a deal breaker for Genesis? This theological essay brings together several recent insights about Genesis to answer negative--from text transmission, to format, to the practice of ancient astronomy. Two disconnections are made: time from evolution, and the distant objects from the local 'communicating' objects.

About the Author

Marcus Sanford has lived in several countries as a student and adult, born in the US. He holds an M. Christian Studies from Regent College, Vancouver. In the early '90s he was invited to speak to the American Association of Popular Culture on the usage of the term 'nature' before and after WW2. He has worked in medical services and education. More recently, he has a few awards for historical drama works. His ancient language study included a term under Dr. B. Waltke on Biblical Hebrew, and discussion of CREATION AND CHAOS by Dr. Waltke.
