Holly, Leo's adopted son, and Job arrive in the interior of Africa at the start of the book, where they meet the stunning and enigmatic Ustane. As a result of Holly's conviction that Ustane is Ayesha's reincarnation, he embarks on a risky quest to locate the forgotten city of Kôr and reunite Ayesha with Leo. Fans of Haggard's writing and adventure literature in general should read "Ayesha: The Return of She," which is a good follow-up to "She: A History of Adventure".
