Ngozi Temitope Robinson is an ordained Baptist minister, conflict resolution specialist, tiny house dweller, and impassioned writer. She has devoted her life to pastoral care, living zestfully, and the written word. Ngozi enjoys watching vintage Hollywood movies, visiting friends around the world, and following obscure sports—including sumo, bull riding, and curling. She has published several books by others under her imprint, I AM Publications. Awakening is her first novel.

If you are looking for a book you can binge read - look no further "Awakening". Without giving any spoilers, I can tell you the characters are very rich. How is it possible that I know people like the ones described in this book. You can't put Awakening in a single category, it's a book about grief, about love, about the supernatural, about family, etc. I definitely recommend reading by yourself but it would be fun to read with a friend or as part of a book club as there is a lot to unpack.

I was hooked from the start. Ngozi Robinson takes us on a spiritual, supernatural journey with such well-drawn characters. I loved spending time with them, particularly Sheila, her sisters and her artist husband. I was moved by Sheila's process of grief and her challenges in trying to make her life fit together again after the shattering death of her mother. I can't wait for Book 2 as Sheila's journey continues. I look forward to spending more time in Sheila's world!

This beautiful love story brings a couple closer instead of pulls them apart. I look forward to everything Ngozi writes. The gentle lessons on life come through on the pages with a light sense of humor. I can not wait for the next book.
