About the Author

David Deaton is a California native. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and earned a master’s degree in Education from Walden University. He is serving his 15th year as a Physical Education teacher at the high school level.
Soccer has been David’s passion since the age of 4 years. He played and coached players ages 8-50 for 25 years.
David’s other passion has been movies and TV. David is not just a viewer, however, instead he studies what he watches and rewrites the script in his mind, imagining how he would change the story or how he would have an actor engage in the role in a different way. It is this love of film and TV that inspired him to begin writing. The Conspiracy Series is his first published work.
David credits his mother for always encouraging him and for teaching him that perseverance is the key to success. He applied this concept to his first effort at writing and followed her advice: “write when you feel like it and the story will flow out” and “writing is not for fame and fortune, but for the pleasure of creating”
David lives in Southern California with his wife, his teenage daughter, and the family cat, Simba.
