Overview

The Second Book In the Series "Aunt Jane's Nieces", which L. Frank Baum wrote under the pen name Edith Van Dyne. In this book the three Cousins reunite for a trip to Europe With their Uncle John. They get more than they bargained for being near the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and experiencing Kidnapping by bandits in Italy. There is also a slight romantic twist thrown into the story but nothing too overboard.

I hope you enjoy this book. When I first started reading books on my nook Library I noticed that there are many free classics available. However the formatting is terrible and some are unreadable because of errors in the text. Therefore, I decided to start publishing quality classics that included chapter breaks, table of contents, linked chapters, and illustrations when available. Lyman Frank Baum (May 15, 1856 – May 6, 1919) was an American author of children's books, best known for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. He wrote thirteen novel sequels, nine other fantasy novels, and a host of other works (55 novels in total, plus four "lost" novels, 82 short stories, over 200 poems, an unknown number of scripts,[1] and many miscellaneous writings), and made numerous attempts to bring his works to the stage and screen. His works predicted such century-later commonplaces as television, laptop computers (The Master Key), wireless telephones (Tik-Tok of Oz), women in high risk, action-heavy occupations (Mary Louise in the Country), and the ubiquity of advertising on clothing (Aunt Jane's Nieces at Work).
