Aunt Charlotte's Stories of Bible History for the Little Ones
These readings give the outlines of the Scripture narrative to very young children. The first half of them will be found, if begun on Septuagesima Sunday, to follow the course of the First Lessons for Sundays, so that the three short Readings can be gone through with children each Sunday; but they can be read as a consecutive history. In the Gospels, it was of course impossible to adapt the story to the Sunday Lessons, and it has therefore not been attempted. It is hoped, however, that this may serve as a useful introduction to Scripture history, and give children a better understanding of the connection of the Lessons they hear at Church.

About the Author

Charlotte Mary Yong was born in Otterbourne, England in 1823. She was homeschooled by her parents, primarily her father, and worked with him until she was well into her twenties. She eventually wrote over 160 books, mostly novels. She used the money earned from her writing to fund various charities and schools. Her family considered it improper for her to profit from her writing.
