About the Author

Rei Kimura started her professional training as a lawyer. From the age of fifteen, she started to write poetry and short stories for the sheer love of it. She is currently associated with the Australian News Syndicate and finds great challenge in writing about unique personalities and events.

Her first book was a biography of the controversial Peruvian Japanese President, Alberto Fujimori entitled "Alberto Fujimori of Peru-The President Who Dared to Dream."

From there, she wrote another true and tragic story of the legendary Tojin Okichi who was forced to serve the first American Consul to Japan, Townsend Harris in the turbulent years of the opening of Japan in the mid 1880s. The book is in digital form entitled "Butterfly in the Wind."
