Overview

Diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases of the 21st century. One in every ten Americans is either diabetic or pre-diabetic. Over 8,000 Americans are diagnosed EVERY DAY with diabetes. 25.8 million people in the United States (8.3% of the population) have diabetes.

As the general public embraces holistic medical care as never before, the concept of treating not just the "disease", but the entire person has reached mainstream acceptance. As diabetes is interwoven for many folks with unhealthy lifestyle choices including sedentary inactivity and obesity, it is only natural to present content that will aid folks, body, mind and spirit, toward wellness.

Aspirations, Book Four is the fourth in a series of eBooks offering a 30 day approach to help you to jump start your journey toward wellness. Written by a diabetic for a diabetic, your journey over the next 30 days will offer you spiritual insight that will help you to change your view of diabetes as being purely a disease of the body.

Though the daily readings, you will be empowered to take action, action that can and does change lives.

About the Author

David A. Grant is no stranger to success. His life shows that there is life after being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

No one asks to be diagnosed with a life threatening disease. In the 21st century, a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis is no longer a precursor to blindness, amputation and other common complications that made the news almost daily.

For most people, diabetes is a word we hear on the news, mentioned in the press, but never pay any real attention to. All that changed for David on the day he was diagnosed as a Type 2 Diabetic in 2007. At 260 pounds and living a sedentary life, he was a living time bomb and didn't even know it.

Knowledge is indeed power, but "faith without works is dead". Getting back to a passion of his youth, cycling, David has been able to successfully overcome diabetes. Dropping 80 pounds and cycling over 40,000 miles since 2007, David has become an outspoken advocate of the benefits of living a healthy life.
