Overview

Kabutt is out. Out of the army, out of patience, and out of control. He's found a home, people to fight for, and once again, the city seems determined to screw that up for him.

He's got backstabbing elves trying to rip him off, corpos forcing him and his team into unsanctioned deathmatches for live broadcasts, and of course, the usual skulduggery, not to mention more goddamn goblins.

He's got his suit, though. It might be stripped, but he's got it, he's got hope, he's got heavy firepower, and hell, he might even get laid.

All things are possible... provided you've got enough high explosive, anyway.

It's time to start evening the odds...

About the Author

Jez Cajiao was born 1980 in Hartlepool, UK, and raised in Washington UK. At a young age, Jez found that he truly disliked school, and due to that, decided to start work at the age of 11 in the family catering business.
After many years catering, Jez then travelled and worked at bars in Greece, where he, well, what happens in Greece stays in Greece. Returning home, Jez re-joined the family catering business, moving to management, and eventually running his own restaurant. It was at this time that Jez made an important discovery about himself, he generally didn’t like people. He made a career change to welding, which he loved, but only for a short time, as he had developed welder's lung, and was told for medical purposes, he should never weld again. It was the first job he truly loved, and was left devastated, having to reinvent himself again at the age of 37. Opting for a career in computers, a career much less likely to kill him outright, he completed a Diploma in Information Systems at University. He met Christine in 2013, who would later agree to be his wife. The stipulation of their relationship was that Harry, her Bedlington Terrier, must like him, or else Jez would have to go. Harry would go on to help Jez propose on a rock covered in frogs, in the dead of the night, at the beach in South Shields. Harry then went on to help with the Wedding invitations for their marriage in 2015. Tragedy struck in 2017, joyous with the news of a child on the way, they unfortunately miscarried on Independence Day, but they were blessed with a son in 2018, and a second in 2020. Jez had become a great fan of the LitRPG genre, and decided to try his hand at writing in 2018. It took him 2 years to complete his first book, as he was still working full time, and rewrote it so many times, as first time authors tend to do. Once he completed it, he quickly became a part of the LitRPG Community, with readers awaiting the next instalment. The pandemic of 2020 caused Jez to be furloughed, as his lung condition put him at a greater risk. During this time he wrote every single day. Finally, he had found a career that he truly loved again! Jez was able to complete the first Season of the UnderVerse series (6 books) in 2021, as well as release the first three books of the Rise of Mankind series. He is happily writing away in his home office, with the company of his wife, two children, a dog, two cats and the Sanddancers in South Shields.
