About the Author

Jane Davila is a fiber and mixed-media artist who began her professional art career as a printmaker. Her work can be found in many private and corporate collections worldwide. She teaches art quilting and surface design workshops nationally and at her barn studio. Jane writes a regular column on art business topics for Quilting Arts magazine. She is a regional representative for Studio Art Quilt Associates. Jane and her husband, Carlos, an abstract oil painter, live in Ridgefield, Connecticut.

Elin Waterston is an award-winning textile and mixed media artist and graphic designer. She has a BA and an MFA in design. Elin is inspired by her favorite artists, known and unknown, and by international folk art. She is the visual arts director, as well as an art instructor, at the Katonah Art Center in Katonah, New York. She is an Art*o*mat participating artist. Her work is in many public and private collections and has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums. She lives in South Salem, New York, with her husband, David, a cinematographer, and their two Westies.
