Around the World in 80 Days
Despite being a little dated, Around the World in 80 Days, by Jules Verne is still a fun adventure book. Phineas Fogg lives a orderly disciplined life. When he places a bet at his club that he can accomplish a journey around the world in 80 days (an almost impossible feat at that time) he is determined to follow through. So off he sets, followed by his newly hired servant Passepartout, who is just hoping to settle into calm English domesticity. Trailed by a suspicious detective who thinks that Fogg is an infamous Bank Robber, their adventures, especially those of the unlucky Passepartout, are often humorous. Illustrated.
