After high school, I joined the Marine Corps in 1965. There I served as a CRYPTO electronic technician and volunteer helicopter door-gunner with over 100 combat missions. After the Marine Corps, I missed the comradery, so I enlisted in the US Army and served with the Army Security Agency, which is the military version of NSA, the National Security Agency. After reaching Staff Sergeant (E-6), I requested Officer Candidate School. As a Signal Officer, there were assignments in Field Artillery, Signal Battalions, and Recruiting Command. My last assignment, at the Pentagon, was with the Information Systems, Army Research & Development Agency.
I've Invented and offer the TOSS Deluxe Playing Cards, an eight-suited deck, which can be reviewed at Toss.iWARP.com or email me at tosscards@usa.com. Besides the 'BlackSteel' novels and 'The Soul Searching Robot', I have written 'Sunken Timbers', 'The Strawberry Squirrel', and two illustrated Tick, Tock, and Tink adventures, all children's stories. Then there are the 20,000 words of poetry written to capture the heart of my dear wife. These, I consider my most important works to date.
Now retired and still serving my country as a Red Cross Disaster Responder and volunteer driver delivering Blood in a three-state area. Please email any comments on my work, good or bad.
