About the Author

E. Hank Buchmann was schooled in journalism and served as a combat correspondent in the Vietnam War. In twenty-two years working for his local school district, Buchmann taught creative writing and poetry to hundreds of middle school and high school students, as well as adults in a variety of venues.

Most of Buchmann’s novels and poetry collections reflect his interests in history, nature and the human condition as it faces challenges on its way to restoration.

Buchmann has created a western series, featuring Marshal Boone Crowe of 1880’s Wyoming Territory. This fast-paced series includes, Dead Woman Creek; Showdown in the Bear Grass; Judgment at Rattlesnake Wash; Track of the Wolf; The Widow Makers; Shootout at Lost River; and 5 Bullets.

Buchmann lives in Washington, surrounded by sprawling wheat fields and sunsets, once claimed by Owen Wister, author of The Virginian, as, The best I’ve ever seen.
