Another Ridiculous Week in Bakersfield (or Archie, Elise and the Class of 1997) (or Stage Fright!)
With his family (and entirely against his will), Archie Lemons returns to his hometown of Bakersfield, California. On the agenda: a cold case, a homecoming speech at his old high school (that he doesn't want to give), and a 90's-themed class reunion (which he absolutely, positively will not attend - probably). Then things go wrong. Along the way, Archie and his wife Elise befriend a group of students putting on a play. Three days before opening night, their director goes missing without a trace. With everyone around them in a panic, it's up to Archie and Elise to solve their cold case, find the missing director, make a speech in front of the class, meet up with old friends and a few enemies, and maybe, just maybe, go to the reunion. 'Another Ridiculous Week in Bakersfield' is a light, funny mystery with a lot of heart, about finding happiness in the least likely of places. Basically, it's a romcom...with murder!

About the Author

Grant Fieldgrove was born in Bakersfield, CA at the tail end of the rockin' 1970's! After successfully avoiding work and responsibility for over twenty years, he finally landed a job soul-crushing enough to, after several years of procrastination, finally make him settle down and follow his dream of being an awesome writer of only life-changing, high brow literature...when that didn't work, he took to comedy.
Recently he started his own company, Watch the Sky, which does a little of everything, like clothing, author and publishing services, and putting together collections of vintage sci-fi, suspense, and crime stories, aptly titled Watch The Sky: Terrifying Tales of Science and Crime.
He still lives in Bakersfield with his wife Julie and his son McClane, who is non-verbal autistic, but super rad.
He loves pizza and prefers film over digital, and in the spring of 2018, he started his own horror-themed clothing company called Saturday Morning Horrors.
