Kasper, PhD, RN, FAAN, is Professor and Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Nursing Services, Washington, DC; Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD; and Member of the Governor’s Committee on Spinal Cord Injury Research in Maryland.
