About the Author

Anna-Maria Mclean is a teacher from South East London.
She lives at home with her family, including a cat and two turtles.
From a very early age, she has always had a passion for the natural world; visits to The Horniman Museum, observing animals and birds in tanks and cloche jars has ignited this curiosity.
She studied BA (Hons) in Print Media and Surface Design at The London College of Printing and Distributive Trades in Elephant and Castle, then went on to work as a TA for eight years at her daughter's school, and finally moved on to become a teacher at a school in Walworth, where she has worked for the past 12 years.
She hopes that her work inspires others to appreciate the amazing natural world and all its wonders!
