A former children’s book editor and book buyer at Malaprop’s Bookstore/Cafe in Asheville, North Carolina, Amy Cherrix now writes fulltime. Her books include the nonfiction In the Shadow of the Moon, Backyard Bears, Eye of the Storm, Animal Architects, and Animal Superpowers. She earned a master’s degree in children’s literature from Simmons University.
