About the Author

Màiri Campbell was born in Wichita, Kansas and grew up with older brothers. She has always been a voracious reader with many different favorite authors. She wrote her first poem at age 10 for a competition that the local bookmobile was having. Her poem was one of those chosen for publishing in the newsletter, she was hooked. She has had a few other poems published over the years but has started getting into writing short stories and novels. Currently she is working on two different novels and a few more short stories. Her first published story on Amazon is titled 'Life Begins Anew'.

She loves dogs, wolves, Scotland and anything Celtic. Màiri is currently the league historian for the Skagit Valley Writers League (www.skagitwriters.org). She is an active member in her local community with the Celtic Arts Foundation (www.celticarts.org) in Skagit Valley, WA. She and her husband, Robert, are the state commissioners for her husband's Scottish clan and they are at almost every Scottish Highland Games event there is in WA.
