About the Author

Chuck Warner began his journey in the search for swimming excellence when he grew up in the shadow of Yale University and one of swimming’s great ambassador’s and leaders, Coach Robert John Herman.

As a swimming coach Chuck has been in a leader in American swimming for more than 25 years. He has assisted swimmers in attaining the highest achievement in the sport, an Olympic gold medal, and has coached national champion teams.

Chuck is the founder and CEO of ARETE Aquatic Services (AAS). His company focuses on assisting children and families through excellence and innovation in the world of aquatics. Warner has authored two books to date. The first was published in 1997, called Four Champions, One Gold Medal and the second in June of 2012, …And Then They Won Gold: Stepping Stones To Swimming Excellence. He also writes a weekly column for USA Swimming and is regular published by Swimming World Magazine, Swim News International and Swim Swam.

Coach Warner has been a popular speaker throughout the United States, in Europe and the Middle East.
