About the Author

Amaury Ponciano is an information systems technician professional who originates from the Dominican Republic; he moved to New Jersey in 1994 and enlisted in the Navy in 1999. He has earned two master’s degrees, the latest from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2022, a master’s degree in applied cyber operations.

Amaury loves to travel, having experienced over 40 countries and 100 cities around the globe. He also loves fútbol (soccer) and eating food from different cultures. His inspiration will always be his mother, who showed him what it means to persevere and to be strong. His children motivate him to be the best person he can be. His joy is being surrounded by his small circle of friends and family who keep him humble, accountable, compassionate, and loving.
