Eleven pieces gathered in this collection are my reflections and thoughts on sociological theory when I was doing my Ph.D. program at Stony Brook University between 2000 and 2005. My main task in this book is to explain macro-level social developments such as the diffusion of various social practices, processes, and structures, typical beliefs and ideologies, human civilizations, socio-epistemological issues, and common ways of acting.
