An Oscar For Kitty is one of those select books that appears only occasionally; this one is worth the wait. You dont have to own a cat to enjoy it, although doing so, entitles you to an extra bonus. Each one of the photographs is a winner in itself, and the captions act like Catnip to titillate the mind.

Of the more than thirty million U.S. cats back in the 1970s (sixty-five million reported at present) the authors search for feline talent began and ended with Kitty, a born ham, who was the most cooperative model that he had ever encountered. Kitty was purchased at a pet shop for $1.00 with the intentions of returning her to the owner because of his hectic lifestyle, and as things turned out, Kitty found a permanent home for sixteen more purring years.

Attention dog lovers and penguin fanciers. Kitty also shares the spotlight with them, so sit back and relax. Theres no cover charge to enjoy this entertainment.

About the Author

This book is anew and changed edition of the original book printed in 1970. All of the events described below took place in 1970. The publisher at that time went out of business before any sales for that books edition could be developed Murray Jaffe is a distinguished photographer who studied with the famous photographers school. His photographs, including action pictures of Joe Namath, Tom Seaver and Tommy Agee, have appeared on covers of sports magazines. Mr. Jaffe was accustomed to covering sports events where he displayed as much prowess with his camera as the athletes do in their filed. He felt that the photography involved in the making of An Oscar For Kitty, was a greater challenge than any assignment he had undertaken, including the winning of first prizes in photography contests.
