The aim of this book is to help people understand why a business structure is so important, the reasons why we believe that it is essential to get it right up front or to at least have plan for a small business structure to turn into an effective medium sized business structure. Many people do not realise the importance of asset protection, succession planning and taxation in their choice of business structure.

About the Author

Muriel has over thirty years’ experience in Accounting, Taxation and Client advisory including over twenty years’ experience in Australia, initially working for Arthur Andersen and is currently a Director of Primarius Financial Solutions, based in Perth.

Prior to this she worked in South Africa, Botswana and Hong Kong, having sold her first firm to KPMG in 1989. Muriel's experience covers a wide range of industries, with extensive experience in the accounting profession as well as having worked in commerce as well.

Muriel enjoys using her experience and knowledge to find solutions for clients that meet their needs and add value not only to their business, but also to their overall personal financial position.

Over the years she has been searching for ways to simplify concepts for clients and to that end has started writing books on various subjects in an attempt to demystify many of the key concepts.

She is currently working on a Doctorate of Business Administration focusing on Business Models, Strategy and the family Business.

Muriel is a strong advocate of quality systems and procedures to create and maintain sustainable businesses.

She is a wife, mother and grandmother and enjoys travelling and playing golf with her husband and spending time with her family.
