This seemingly innocent conversation inspired the Dunning family to embark on a family volunteer trip to a “lesser developed” part of the world. In 2010, the Dunnings took off four months and volunteered in Ecuador and Peru. This book describes how they found family appropriate volunteer projects and includes how they planned, raised money and prepared for their trip. Tales, interspersed with travel blog entries, provide a personal, unique and often humorous perspective of their trip. The Dunning family lives on a 20-acre farm in Central Oregon with one dog, seven cats, two goats, and in the past chickens and llamas. They enjoy the outdoors, music, reading and of course, travel. The Dunnings have traveled throughout the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru and now have their travel sights set for Spain.
