Ambling Crusader (Heroes of Agda, #1)

The young here are coddled, educated, and well cared for in every way possible – BUT are looks deceiving, and is there a bigger agenda in play?

The planets have been separated, and the diseased and aged have been sent to New Planet. At the same time, the children remain behind to live in government-driven centers that cater to their every whim. Education, food, social events, and medical care to ensure they don't succumb to many known diseases all seem like a dream come true. A new day is dawning, and the young appear to be the ones that benefit the most. Though some don't believe the hype, and under the pretty façade feel some nefarious plan to control them all is in the works.

Arjen would be one of those youths, who isn't buying what the government is selling. He doesn't want to be a hero or rise up to help others. Rather, he is just trying to stay alive, keep to himself, and fade into the background undetected. One bad move on his part, though, will land him right in the middle of the government center for youth, trying to remain invisible and friendless to have no reason to start a fight. A Revolt is rising and could be the ticket out for the unbelievers, but is it a ticket to freedom or something else? When around every corner is a camera, government agent, or suspicious locked door – is there any place safe to hide? In a climactic moment that paves the way to freedom who will be on board, and will they all make it out from under the thumb of the government in one piece?

AMBLING CRUSADER is the first part of "Heroes of Agda", a 5 short read book series about Arjen's story, a wanderer, and an antihero in a mixed-up reality!

About the Author

Jenn is a hardworking woman and a creative person! She fluently speaks three languages and has siblings and friends in many countries all over the world. For this young author, "A good book is one with some fantasy, thrill and ... romance, no matter what! But also, one the reader can identify him/herself to a main character and escape to strange worlds". Some suspect Jenn of doing white magic, but that's another story ...
